In Immortal Defense, the main character leaves his body and his pregnant wife behind to go into the "pathspace" dimension to defend his planet from a relentless invasion. By placing "points" symbolizing his different emotions on the map, he can protect his family and planet from the invaders. But as he spends a longer and longer time away from his body, and realizes he may never return, the nature of his missions begin to change, and his mind begins to face new challenges altogether.
